Esanju Bonga
MEd., Registered Psychotherapist, CCC, OCT, CFWA

Esanju is a psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults and families through a wide range of emotional and life-stage challenges. She holds a BA in Psychology, a BEd, an MEd in Counselling Psychology and, more recently, a certificate in Family Wealth Advising. Her clinical training has focused on emotional self-regulation, anxiety, depression and—through her specialization in financial therapy—the complex ways our relationship with money shapes our inner lives and our closest bonds.
In her financial therapy practice, Esanju works with families and individuals at every point on the wealth spectrum: members of multi-generational family enterprises, people experiencing sudden windfalls or inheritance, and those born into privilege but wrestling privately with purpose, pressure and belonging. By bringing compassion and clear-eyed insight to the often unspoken tensions of money and legacy, she helps clients explore how their beliefs about wealth influence daily choices, relationships and personal well-being.
Beyond financial therapy, Esanju supports high-achieving professionals recovering from burnout and parents striving to raise grounded children amidst material abundance. Her approach is nonjudgmental, strengths-based and deeply relational, creating a safe space where clients feel heard, respected and empowered to discover what matters most to them. She often collaborates with trusted colleagues in wealth, legal and succession planning to ensure holistic, integrative care.
For Esanju, the heart of successful therapy is building an atmosphere of genuine empathy and hope. She considers it an honour to walk alongside anyone who wants to get “unstuck,” find their voice, and recalibrate on their path to wellness—welcoming all without judgment.
