Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an empirically based short-term treatment approach that is both structured and collaborative. The CBT approach is based on a scientific understanding of the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviours. This approach focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving, with the aim of improving our emotional experience. Many individuals find CBT extremely helpful in resolving concerns and issues, limiting thoughts and challenging situations.
