About Jennifer:  Working from an anti-oppressive and non-judgemental framework, Jennifer deeply values relationships built on authenticity and collaboration. From both personal and professional experience Jennifer understands that life experiences can leave us with varying degrees of emotional wounds, which often leave us feeling hopeless and powerless. Through establishing a healthy therapeutic relationship with her clients Jennifer understands her role as supporting individuals to engage with their strengths, cultivate new skills, and to develop a deeper sense of self-awareness and knowledge to help them heal and live their best lives.

Jennifer holds an undergraduate degree in Community Development from Western University, a Masters of Social Work from the University of Windsor, and a postgraduate certificate in CBT from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has over 15 years of experience working in mental health and acquired brain injury in both community and hospital settings. She values lifelong learning and engages in continued education throughout the year. Jennifer is working towards certification in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.

Practice Focus:

Jennifer is experienced in supporting individuals, Adults, Youth 12+, Individual and Family Consults and Education for First Episode Psychosis, Chronic Mental Illness and Acquired Brain Injury. She welcomes clients who are a part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Therapeutic modalities:

Jennifer utilizes many modalities of practice which allow her to tailor treatment to meet her client’s needs such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBT for Psychosis, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Trauma Focused, Compassion Focused, Attachment-Based, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Strength Based, Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy.

For Individuals and Consults:
55 minute session – $160.00
80 minute session- $180.00

48 Hour cancellation is required or full payment will be charged

** Many E.A.Ps and extended health care plans will pay for the services of a therapist with a Master of Social Work degree. Members of the College of Social Workers and Social Service.

Workers are authorized to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy in compliance with the Social Worker and Social Service Worker ACT, its regulations and bylaws and should be covered under psychotherapies in most health care plans. **
