Working from a strength-based, non-judgemental framework Kristin works from a place that leads with curiosity and compassion with clients. The work is centred upon how influential our emotions are, and how by acknowledging them with openness and kindness we can better understand the many pieces of ourselves that show up in every aspect of life.

Kristin holds a Social Services Worker Diploma from Conestoga College, an Arts Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Bachelors Degree of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Waterloo, and a Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from the University of Waterloo. Kristin has been engaging and supporting individuals including children, adolescents, young adults and families for close to 20 years. Kristin has worked in community and hospital mental health environments, along with working within a post-secondary education setting. Kristin has been continuing to engage in learning, and is working to complete a certificate in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) through Wilfrid Laurier University.

Practice Focus:

Kristin is experienced in supporting individuals, youth, young adults, children (6+), and families. She also has experience with those in the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Therapeutic modalities:

Kristin utilizes an eclectic approach to counselling. Narrative, Mindfulness, Attachment, Family Systems Theory, Solution-focused, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal-Family Systems-informed (IFS), Emotion-focused, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Appointments available: Thursdays
48-hour cancellation is required, otherwise, full payment will be required.

Many E.A.P. and extended health care providers cover the services of a Master of Social Work degree.
